The Purple Power of Lavender

Lavender is perhaps the best known and loved of all the essential oils. Commonly considered to be a ‘cure all’, lavender can be used on a large variety of ailments with successful results. One of the greatest things about lavender besides its appealing smell is that it’s safe for infants and children! Lavender can be used in massage oils, bath oils, soaps, and room sprays just to name a few. It is one of two essential oils that is safe to use neat (directly applied to skin). I use a lot of lavender in my own products because of how beneficial it is.

Lavender is often associated with the immune system. It is the number one choice for first aid. Lavender oil alleviates a huge variety of conditions including acne, arthritis, bed wetting, bites, blisters, burns, earaches, eczema, exhaustion, headaches and migraines, nausea, nosebleeds, pregnancy, skin irritants, stings and sunburns.  Also works well for fear, hyperactivity, impatience, insomnia, mood swings, negative thoughts, nerves, paranoia, relaxation, restlessness, panic attacks, and worry.

Some of our products that feature lavender: “Baby Sleep Well” massage and bath oil, “Skin Soothing” olive oil soap bar, “Release the Pain” room spray, “Bee’s Knee” sting relief and “Sleep Well” bath salts for adults. NOTE: when purchasing products it is important to ensure that they are %100 natural, made from pure lavender essential oil and that the oil is not mixed with a large quantity of unnecessary chemicals.
